Autumn is the time for birdwatching in the Betanzos Estuary, Burgo Estuary, Cecebre Reservoir, and other points of the Reserve. Little egrets, sandpipers, turnstones, plovers, and other species are returning to spend the winter season with us. The wetlands, rivers, reservoirs, and rugged coastline are teeming with life. A spectacle that nature gifts us. The bird observatories in our Reserve are waiting for you. In the photo, you can see the Souto bird observatory in the municipality of Paderne. Built in wood, it is located in the heart of the Betanzos estuary, at the mouth of the Mandeo River. Here the river greets the Atlantic Ocean.
