Mandeo River Visitor Center

On the banks of the Mandeo, invites you to discover the life of the river, its biodiversity and its vital role in the natural soul of the Biosphere Reserve.

O centro

O Centro de Visitantes do Río Mandeo é un espazo dedicado á interpretación e divulgación do valioso patrimonio natural deste emblemático río, eixo vertebrador da Reserva de Biosfera Mariñas Coruñesas e Terras do Mandeo. Situado na área de Chelo, en Coirós, este centro é o punto de partida ideal para comprender a importancia ecolóxica e paisaxística do Mandeo, así como para descubrir a súa biodiversidade e o seu papel na historia da comarca.

Aquí poderedes coñecer os ecosistemas fluviais e forestais que conforman a súa contorna, con especial atención á súa fauna e flora, entre os que destacan os bosques de ribeira, anfibios, aves e especies protexidas. A través de exposicións interactivas, paneis informativos e actividades de educación ambiental, este espazo invita a reflexionar sobre a conservación dos nosos ríos e o impacto humano nestes hábitats esenciais.

Ademais, aquí comeza unha rede de rutas que che permitirá gozar dun paseo único por un exemplo ben conservado de bosque de ribeira atlántico.

Como parte da Rede de Centros de Interpretación da Reserva de Biosfera Mariñas Coruñesas, o centro de visitantes contribúe á divulgación e protección deste territorio privilexiado.
