Connecting Biodiversity

Leader Cooperation (2022-2023)

The Connecting Biodiversity project aims to promote the implementation of the Galician Green Infrastructure Strategy, developing environmental improvement actions and designing future projects that contribute to strengthening ecological connectivity in the participating LAG territories.

Cooperation between Local Action Groups (LAGs) has proven to be an effective channel for exchanging experiences, transferring knowledge, and amplifying successful actions in certain territories. This project is justified by the outstanding environmental values of the participating LAGs, as well as the need to meet the conservation and biodiversity objectives established in European and Galician strategies. Through this cooperation, the aim is to solve common problems, promote innovation, and implement measures to protect and restore threatened habitats and species.
