The Mariñas Coruñesas Biosphere Reserve is located in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Galician province of A Coruña. The territory comprises seventeen municipalities that surround the city of A Coruña.

The basins of the Mandeo, Mendo and Mero rivers, the Ría do Burgo and the estuary known as Ría de Betanzos and the Artabrian Gulf, bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, define the way of life of our Reserve where everything revolves around water.
